Downscaling Food System for the ‘Public City’ Regeneration. An Experience of Social Agriculture in Trieste

The relationship between food and cities has been recognized as an area of interest for urban planning only recently, thanks to measures adopted at various government levels, locally internationally. Rethinking the processes production, distribution, sale, consumption recycling in a sustainable socially equitable way can contribute making fairer, healthier more resilient climate change. Starting from these premises, our contribution explores, particular, hypothesis that rethinking space provide opportunity promote socio-spatial regeneration public housing neighbourhoods, through projects actions involve their inhabitants.
